Since we're arguing here about what Scripture says, you've
done nothing here except declare yourself the winner by fiat.

So where does it say that "being a son of light" is the same
as "being regenerated"? Regeneration refers to new _birth_,
not "new maturity". It's the beginning of something, not
the end.

1. It says "He" chose, not us. Take note of that.
2. You're separating things which ought not to be separated.
No one said that new birth happens after we hear the Word. The
issue is whether A. we make a free choice upon hearing the Word, or
B. the Word effects our change of heart.
The right answer is B.

So? It is by siting their good works that Jesus distinguishes
the sheep from the goats. This verse doesn't say anything like
"belief causes salvation." It only says that belief is the
indication of salvation.
