Jesus told the disciples to do a job. The job he requested for the
disciples was to make boat trip. They discovered that they did not
bring enough bread (a necessity) to make the trip. Jesus warns them to
not try to make the bread by using the ways of the Pharisees or Herod.
Jesus suggest that he will provide the bread.

Could it be the teaching applied not only to bread but to all other
necessities one would need to do a job that Jesus asked? Could not
the teaching be, that one should not put off doing a task that Jesus
request, because one does not feel he has enough of the necessities?
But, rather do as instructed, relying on Jesus to meet the needs?

When did I claim the "true church is Lutheran"? Here,
(in the part you snipped) I'm using he word "church" as
in the New Testament. E.g., as in

Eph 3:9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of
this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God,
who created all things. 10 His intent was that now, through
the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known
to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,
11 according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished
in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It is through _the church_ that the Gospel is made known.
The ethiopian couldn't understand what he was reading until
the pastor showed him.

Bad history. Luther didn't isolate himself. He was a monk
and a priest and a college professor. He was neck deep in
the Church and never left.
