Tuppence, you must realize that Calvinism is a tightly
knit "ism."

It requires that God be infinitely evil, and create
the vast majority of humans to be damned, without
any "free will" to do otherwise.

It is the most depraved description of God ever made
by any religion.

In stead of God saying,

1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

1 John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to
us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God
in him.

The Calvinist says.

God causes all men to be born such that they cannot choose
to believe in Christ.

God must first regenerate them, and then they cannot but
choose to believe in Christ.

Rather than salvation being through faith,
the Calvinist teaches that faith comes through
regeneration/salvation.

They turn every passage God says about His love for
all, and the world, on its head.

Amazing really!

God says: John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but
have everlasting life.

The Calvinist says God hates the world. The above must be
changed to read:

John 3:16 For God so loved the [elect in the] world, that he gave his
only begotten Son, that [the elect who must] believe in him should not
perish, but have everlasting life.

Every passage concerning God's universal love for the lost human
race is so perverted as to mean the very OPPOSITE of what it says.

But God says the very opposite of Calvinism:

John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is
the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life
through his name.

Romans 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word
of God.

God says we believe to have life, the Calvinist says
the very opposite! That God gives life that we might believe.
