Dear ones,

The following paper came across my desk. It's written
by a philosopher/logician and addresses some problems
we have in math with cranks and crackpots. It's very
informative, 16 pages long and in PostScript. I am
sure there are several people on this group who would
enjoy it and several others who could benefit from it.

I especially enjoyed the paragraph:

"How does anybody get into the state of mind..."

on page 4.

Ah, now you have moved the topic to the really interesting question: which one
of these is the true Church? It can't be all of them. But the descent of the
Holy Fire in Jerusalem on Orthodox Easter is a pretty strong hint, even though I
have heard of many Catholics who see this miracle and believe it really is a
miracle, and _still_ stubbornly cling to Rome!

You obviously! That Man has free will follows not just from the local council of
Orange, but more importantly, f
