I think Bob is correct. A person can actively ascend or descend in a
building by using the stairs or passively ascend or descend by using an
elevator. I see no reason to limit the word "ascend" to climbing
the stairs and not apply it also to riding up in an elevator. If God
reaches down and raises a man to heaven, the man can be said to have
ascended to heaven. If on the other hand he climbs Jacob's ladder to
heaven, he also can be said to have ascended to heaven.

Well, we do know what God has revealed concerning
His will. God desires all to be saved and none to
perish, hence I would conclude that He not only
would not CAUSE Judas to sin, but as James says,
God doesn't even tempt men to sin. There is no
"darkness" at all in God. God is good, infinitely
good. God so loved the world, (and world is defined
in the gospel of John as being the lost humans in
the world), that He gave His only begotten Son.
