One thing you should perhaps be aware of is that the Rainbow Family of
Living Light (see: www.welcomehome.org) has been using the rainbow as a
symbol longer than the gay community has. While the Rainbow Family
welcomes anyone with a belly button (with exceptions made for
non-mammals), the majority are heterosexual. So, you can't - or
rather, shouldn't - make assumptions about anyone's sexual orientation
based solely on references to "Rainbow."
Personally I feel it is none of my business what anyone's sexual
orientation is, other than my own and perhaps my wife's. I am curious
why you feel it is any of your business. Are you without sin? Or is
it that somehow the supposed sin of homosexuality is worse than, say,
pride?
"... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
[Romans 3:23]
"And why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye, but do not
consider the plank in your own eye?"
[Mt 7:3]
lsenders, I believe that what gpat had in mind that you demonstrate was
not that someone ELSE could be wrong, but that YOU could be wrong.
That you believe OTHERS can be wrong is exceedingly clear; that you are
capable of doing what you ask of our sister Ninure - admitting one's
own fallibility, for example on the issue of homosexuality - I
sincerely doubt you are capable of.
But I could be wrong ....

See, my servant shall prosper;
he shall be exalted and lifted up,
and shall be very high.
Just as there were many who were astonished at him
--so marred was his appearance, beyond human semblance,
and his form beyond that of mortals--
so he shall startle many nations;
kings shall shut their mouths because of him;
for that which had not been told them they shall see,
and that which they had not heard they shall contemplate.
Who has believed what we have heard?
And to whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?
For he grew up before him like a young plant,
and like a root out of dry ground;
he had no form or majesty that we should look at him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
He was despised and rejected by others;
a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity;
and as one from whom others hide their faces
