It is amazing Loren, that you can see this with a loaf of bread, or a fish,
but cannot see it with regard to eternal life. The gift of the loaf or the
fish
must be asked for and received, before the person gets the loaf or the fish.

You put God in the position of giving these.

Christ says to the woman at the well:

John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God,
and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked
of him, and he would have given thee living water.

Yet, in a very parallel case you deny the obvious. God offers everlasting
life
free for the taking. He spells it out here for you. Again, God does that
same
thing using the metaphor of the brazen snake held up in the wilderness, and
again you reject what God says:

John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must
the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not
perish, but have eternal life.

ANY Israelite bitten by the poisonous snakes was able to look up at the
serpent held up by Moses, and be healed!

The parallel to Christ is exact! Christ Himself even tells us it is
parallel. Yet you Calvinists deny the obvious! You have no problem
whatsoever in calling God a liar, so long as you can maintain your
"presuppositions" and your "demonic doctrines" which contradict Scripture in
every place we look.

Gary.

Thank you for your considered reply, Sarah. You are quite correct in
stating that the Bible does eloquently illustrate the fact of oneness:
