I love Simplistic reasoning "FAITH", nice and easy discussion,
'you think?"
people throw that word FAITH around and they become an instant
theologian. never answering the hard questions, what is it, how do I
get it. Better yet how can you define it or even know from where it
precedes from. In other words I may be saved by faith, OF WHAT.
Unless you understand from whence ones faith comes from, how can you
know that you are saved. for sure you can believe in anything you want
and claim to be saved. For do not all other religions make that very
same claim. So what make your faith any different then Mohomuds or
Buddha's.
It's not until you understand why or how we are saved then we can
understand from what our faith is based on. For to claim that we are
save by faith and not of works yet works withoiut faith etc.
Disregards the meat of the messages, of what faith.
Again if your faith is only believing in Christ then you can not be
saved any more then the other groups that believe in any other
religions conceived by men. In the same sense the many works that
Christ did even to raising from the dead was proof that He is God, SO.
Even That is not enough to save us, only faith in what, does.
a few post earlier (20 or so) some one posted a thread that was almost
on the correct path to undersigned faith, of course his conclusion was
all wrong. For he stated that a person on death row (discussion on
original sin), was only worthy of faith and salvation. So of course he
questioned a God that requires one to become a murderer to be saved.
The reason his conclusion was wrong was that it requires nothing of him
or for that matter us, to be sentenced to death.. He and all of us are
waiting for the sentence to be carried out, the reality is, we all are
sitting on death row. Believe it or not this is what makes God Good,
He is a fair judge to all alike.
So my friends and brothers this is the reason for your faith. Use it
to understand salvation.
