Bart, you have provided little to no scripture for
your position. I have provided many Scriptures which
prove what I say.

Luther WAS correct on a few things. He was incorrect on
the Lord's supper, baptism, free will, soteriology, etc.

What verses are these?

Jesus says, Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father,
and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and
his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

The CONTEXT of Romans where Paul states this must be considered.

1)God said this in Mal. 3. ; 2) hate can be used in a number of
ways, as shown in Luke 14. 3) The context of Romans shows that
God was referring to which brother the lineage of Christ was to come.
Election to what? The Calvinist says heaven and hell. God says,

Rom. 9:11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any
good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand,
not of works, but of him that calleth;)
12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

So what was this "election" unto?

Let me quote from what Geisler says about this passage in his book
"Chosen but Free."

CHOSEN BUT FREE

Romans 9:11-13

"Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad-in
order that God's purpose in election might stand: not by works but by
him who calls-she was told, 'The older will serve the younger.'Just as
it is written: Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.' "

This is a favorite passage of extreme Calvinists, especially those who
believe in double-predestination. For it appears to say that God not
