Jesus told the disciples to do a job. The job he requested for the
disciples was to make boat trip. They discovered that they did not
bring enough bread (a necessity) to make the trip. Jesus warns them to
not try to make the bread by using the ways of the Pharisees or Herod.
Jesus suggest that he will provide the bread.
Could it be the teaching applied not only to bread but to all other
necessities one would need to do a job that Jesus asked? Could not
the teaching be, that one should not put off doing a task that Jesus
request, because one does not feel he has enough of the necessities?
But, rather do as instructed, relying on Jesus to meet the needs?
