the only difference in what we believe is that God knew this outcome
before the world began. It did not take him by surprise.
>>

In my world God is above the time, such categories as "before" or "being
surprised" are not applicable to Him. Our way of thinking is subjected
to these categories, but through the abstraction we can get some
partially transparent view of God's world w/o the categories.

The difference is the logical order:

(1) God wanted the Incarnation, shameful death and Resurrection of
Jesus Christ primarily and w/o any regard of the human free will

or

(2) God wanted primarily a world with Incarnation and with free will
of the human beings, and the acceptance of the death and resurrection is
the (logical) consequence of the original sin, the shamefulness of the
death is the (logical) consequence of the personal sins of the humanity.

IMHO

Jhn 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,

confirms the (2) view above, and means that despite the (original and
personal) sin and as a (logical) consequence of the sin God went through
the shameful death and resurrection.

Naturally you can interpret this and other biblical passages otherwise,
but this degrades you from the free will which for me is primary experience.

The "notitia," the "fundamentals" of the faith are not vagaries. They
are not exhaustive but then they are not vague either. We, the called,
the enlightened, the elected, the regenerated, know Whom we believe in.
Christianity is a faith but faith is always based upon knowledge.
Faith is never without an object. To the degree of which that object
is true, to that degree our faith is true. "Thou shall have no other
god before Me," infers and necessitates that it is open to us to have a
true understanding of just who this God is.
