Is man first chosen or does he first chose God and then God chooses
him?
Was man first God-conscious or was he first self-conscious?
Which is the higher state? Which is the fallen state?

As for Adam's response, what occured first? Didn't man hide first.
Didn't God first seek out sinful man? What was fallen man's first
response? It was humanistic religion -he thought he could cover
himself.

God acts first. The internal preceeds the external. Spiritual death
was immediate while physical death was not observable till many years
later. Men a long before condemned for their intentions before their
actions. "Even if a man lusts after a woman." Willingness from an
evil heart is enough to condemn a man. "For from within, out of the
heart of man, proceed evil thoughts, etc" Mt 7:20.

Degeneration speaks toward physical death.
Depravity speaks of spiritual death.

Of the later, man apart for God has no power to generate light and is
therefore spoken of in scripture, in God's assessment as being "full of
darkness."

Again, I say, the error stems for a failure to distinquish the sin
nature and imputed sin. Yet both of these were pronounced universal by
the advent of the flood. And after the flood, it was monolithic at
Babel. No man sought for God. All were continually evil,
self-centered, in their thought. Yet when God wanted, He could simly
choose men to follow Him as evidencesd "Now the Lord said to Abram. . .
"

If we follow your theological view, we would have Humpty Dumpty putting
himself back up on the wall even before he had been put back together
again.
