So you say. But somehow, I find such sources as the famous website,
http://www.watchtowerinformationservice.org/disfellowshipping.htm
much more believable. And they sum up the situation very
well when they say:
The Disfellowshipping policy harms the hundreds of
thousands of Disfellowshipped Jehovah's Witnesses
worldwide. It causes also unnecessary self-inflicted pain
for Jehovah's Witnesses who, AGAINST EVERY NATURAL
FEELING, shun their excommunicated family members and
friends.(loc. cit)
> You have been told lies about us.
No doubt. But not by WIS above. It is you and the other
shameless JW apologists who are telling the lies.
>Possibly you judge us by the shameful conduct of the
>"orthodox" churches, who for centuries used not only the
>"threat of disfellowship" (or, excommunication) but the
>threat of torture, execution and hellfire to control and
>intimidate people who had no choice in being members of the
>church in the first place.
In your weak and feeble attempt to put the blame on us, you
have exposed yourself as en even worse deceiver than a mere
liar! For now you hint at a denial of Christ's own words,
that eternal hellfire _does_ await the wicked. Have you
never read Matthew 25? It ends with the clear warning:
And they will go away into ETERNAL PUNISHMENT, but the
righteous into eternal life." (Mat 25:46 RSVA)
"They" refers to the wicked, those gathered on His left, and
the "eternal punishment" is hellfire, as was made clear by
other verses, such as
His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his
threshing floor and gather his wheat into the granary,
but the chaff he will burn with UNQUENCHABLE FIRE." (Mat
3:12 RSVA)

>Peace to you from a true soldier of peace.
A _true_ solder of peace would not deny Christ's words as
freely as you do.
