Now what was _that_ supposed to mean?

My 'take' is that the statement "did not operate as God" is _seriously_
confused. As was pointed out long ago, it was not by His divinity that He wept
at the death of His friend, and it was not by His humanity that He raised him
(Lazarus) from the dead.

How can anyone believe He "did not operate as God" after seeing the resurrection
of Lazarus?

I hope you will not be too surprised to find how much people differe
even about what these 'fundamentals' are.

If that was the prupose, I am afraid it was a failure.

Already you have a problem: there is a reason you will NOT find this
exact phraseology in Scripture. It is because this is NOT a Scriptural
teaching!

> and doing your best to

And this too, if problematic. For you will find many in the NG who
will insist that obedience is "works theology".

> Romans 14 arguably indicates that there is actually no such

The key word is 'arguably'. I do not believe that it makes this
argument at all.

> When it comes to issues such as the Trinity, water baptism and
>creationism, as examples, I will volunteer my 2 cents worth, but then
>I get out of the discussion.

That might be a good idea, because these issues are where the sparks
do tend to fly!

Now what really _does_ have a right to be called "Christian
fundamentals"? Those teachings that the Church declared at the very
beginning of our period of freedom of speech are the indispensible
beliefs, i.e., the N
