I still do not agree. On the one hand some Calvinists state the
man is RESPONSIBLE for his actions, but on the other hand,
they also believe that God causes all his actions.
A major "out" of this, is for those who use Edwards theory of
the will, that man's choices are determined by his desires. But
who gives the dominate desires? God. (At least the Calvinist
will admit that God gives any good desires.) But Calvinists also
maintaint that, for example Judas' choice to betray Christ was
determined by God. Hence God had to give Judas the bad
desire to betray Christ.
Calvinism is filled with such contradictions.
Another is that God is GOOD. I.e., God is love.
But while ostensibly "saying this" they deny it with
every fiber of their theology.
Even the WCOF states that God "passes by," the non-elect.
On the one hand they say that the REASON that the man
is lost is because of his sins, but on the other hand they
claim that man cannot but sin! God caused him to be born
is such a condition that he cannot but sin. So here is another
contradiction in Calvinism.
I could go on and on. Every point in Calvinism is riddled
with Contradiction.
Not only internal contradictions, but obvous contradictions
with Scritpure - but with this you agree.
For example, they claim on the one hand that God determines
all things, both Good and Bad. But some admit that the bad
He only "permits." (Calvin and other famous Calvinists deny
even this.) But then they claim that what they call "free will,"
is such that the man cannot choose otherwise. Hence cannot
choose to not commit a particular sin.
For God to determine, under Calvinistic theology, evil, He
must make certain that the dominent evil desires are there
to cause the people to do the ordained evil deed, as much
as He must make certain that the dominent good desires
are there to cause people to do the ordained good deeds.
The bottom line
