Very interesting Bart. Is this typical of you?
You never assert anything? You seem to me
to assert many many things, primarily that
everyone who disagrees with you is wrong!
Are not these "assertions?"

Stating that the cause of their repentance would not have been because
of the miracles, when Christ directly said that it would have been,
is the false premise of occasionalism.

occasionalism - A view popularized by Nicolas Malbranche whereby: (1) the
mental and the material comprise two different kinds of substance; (2)
neither has any direct causal effect on the other and; (3) all seeming
interactions between the two are due to the continual intervention by God
who brings about a change in one on the occasion of a change in the other.

Thus, when Christ said,
Matthew 11:21 "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the
mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they
would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

Bart and the Calvinists can claim that the reason that they "would have
repented" was not because they saw the miracles, as Christ stated, but
because of some direct intervention of God on the occasion. This is REQUIRED
for their systems to survive.
For Scripture does not support their false systems, so they have to insert
the necessary things which are not present in Scripture to hold it up.

This maneuver is made very often. It can be seen in every Scripture in which
God states His universal love of mankind. For example, beginning in John we
read the version God gave, and then follow it by the version of the
Calvinist.

John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into
the world.

John 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every [kind of] man that
cometh into the world.

John 4:39 And many of the Samaritans of that city believed in Him because of
the word of the woman who testified, "He told me all that I ever did."

This is a case where the trump card of "occasionalism " must be played
