Also, the original is stated by David. The NT takes it and extends it
to the Godhead. Do you not take such considerations into account when
you interpret what the writer's intent was?

This is a good citation, clearly very relevant. But it would still be taking it
out of context to claim that this citation shows that there is a single THE
source of the turning.

Why? Because so very often, in so many other places of Scripture, the same kind
of 'turning' is described with NO such reference to God as the 'source'. Ezek
18:23-32 is the most prominent such example, but not the only one.

So how are we to understand it, when Scripture describes the SAME action, in two
different places, but makes God the subject in one place, and Man in the other?
The hardening of Pharoah's heart is another example of this.

Whatever the answer to this question might be, claiming a single THE source is
not it.
