And this is exactly why I will not try. There is no point. In point
of fact, to understand James one must look at what is taught in the
rest of scripture to gain a proper interpretation. Because the rest of
the NT teaches a sola fide, James cannot be interpreted to read a
faith which has works required of it. That is semi-Pelagianism. It
also wrong views faith as an act of the will instead of a constraint.
It also wrongly considers the full implication of the Divine
declaration, "It is finished." Redemption is not God purchasing the
car and then handing us the payment book. He purchased the car and
then gave us the titled deed -the Holy Spirit. Your interpretation of
James will not acknowledge that fact.

Again, because you WILL not allow scripture to interpret man, you place
yourself as the regulator of all things, even the interpretation of
God's revelation. Scripture interprets scripture, not the
rationalizations of men. This is the Pauline argument as expressed in
1 Cor 3. NO CLERGY mentality.
