And that hell
is “IN ETERNITY” because it is outside of time? And which Bible texts can
you use to show that punishment from God is not “temporal”?
Please specify.
Hades gave up those dead in them, - see Rev 20
What is “fair” according to God’s justice? Exodus 21:23 - Fair , see the
equality.
Psalms 37:34 - wicked will be cut-off. (not torture forever).
And look at God’s quality, his quality is different than ours -
He will not for all time keep finding fault, Neither will he to time
indefinite keep resentful. He has not done to us even according to our
sins;
Nor according to our errors has he brought upon us what we deserve
Do you think that that kind of quality will make God torture someone
forever?
The eternal punishment for wicked men is not literal eternal torture but
the symbolic Gehenna. And notice that in Gehenna, no LIVING animals or
human creatures were pitched into it to be burned alive or tormented.
Hence, the place could never symbolize an invisible region where human
souls are tormented forever.
In your case, a 20 year old man who died early because of his sins will be
tortured forever by God, and if you are a parent of that person, seeing
him die early because of your son’s foolishness is in itself very hard. No
matter how wicked your son is, you just want him to pay for his sins, but
you as a loving parent won’t be glad in torturing him and at the same time
keeping him alive for many many years just to be tortured. And will you
call a parent loving if he himself torture his own son for many many
years, second by second?
This also conflicts with the Bible’s teaching that ONLY those who are
saved will be given eternal life. In your case, since the wicked person
lives eternally to be tortured forever, therefore he has eternal life
although in a very bad state.
Still in your case, since torturing someone forever is just, then do you
do or agree with that as part of application of Ephesians 5:1?
Can you also say that you Love God if you steal, commit adultery, etc? Can
you say that you use God’s name rightly, if you preach God’s word and his
name and then you do the opposite of what His name and will stand for?
Nope, I’m not invalidating God’s justice, because the Bible is clear that
God won’t literally torture someone eternally.
