Of course, matter is converted to energy in nuclear power plants. And
then I suppose matter can be created if a virtual muon-antimuon pair
receives energy and become real muons. (That wasen't taught when you
went to school. It is time for you to hit the books again; you don't
want to be left behind.)

I have stood out in the sun, and it did add energy. I notice that some
plants grow better in the sunlight than in the dark. Some fungi, while
not plants, will grow very well in the dark if given a sufficient
supply of horse manure. Why does thinking about growing mushrooms
remind me of the logic you used in this post?

So if you want children to learn, don't teach them in the sunlight,
least the sun destroy the lesson before it gets into their little
heads.

You need to read about those places deep in the ocean where the hot
water full of minerals come out and organisms use chemical energy from
that to grow. No chlorophyll involved and no sunlight involved. And for
many years evolution has been going on like mad down there!
I take it science is not your strong point. You don't sound like you
have remembered all you have learned about science when you were young
and also it sounds like you are about 50 years behind. Surely, you have
not been out in the sun too long?
