Perhaps we missed each other's points.

v, 20 "But if I am doing the very thing I do not wish, I am no longer
the one doing it, but sin which dwells in me."

My point was that Paul is saying that he DOES what he desires not to do.

This is contrary to Edwards theory of the will.

But I think I see your point. Is it your point that every time you sin,
you have an excuse because it is not you doing it, but "sin which dwells
in you?"

Gary

This from a guy complaining that someone else was posting
childish rants.

Who wouldn't be? (Oh, and I point out that you, who complained
about me dropping an 's' on 'deniers", has mispelled 'Pamela'.)

Wouldn't it be absurd and bizarre if boxing matches worked
this way? Two guys would slug it out for a while, and after
the final bell rang, they'd stand back and each declare himself
the winner. "I pommelled you" "No, I pommelled you" "Oh, no,
it was I who clearly hamburerized your face".......

It's the reason we have referees.

Why on earth do you think it carries any weight for you to
declare that you thrashed anyone? It's only a childish
taunt and means nothing because you're one of the boxers
and so you can't be the referee.

It's pretty clear that JW doctrine is based on untested
(and unscriptural) assumptions that anthropomorphize God.
Such as assuming God is bound by time, which He must
necessarily have created.

Note that your argument about Enoch is based on such a
temporal supposition.
