Some of the problems of the Church today stems from
anti-intellectualism. That the Scriptures were written out of a
culture different from ours, using a language and cultural
illustrations alien to us, "study to show yourselves approved," takes
on an added depth to believer today. I am not presuming that those who
have formal education necessarily are closer to truth. But neither
should you presume that those who limit themselves in their
understanding of the Truths of the Scriptures to that of mere English
translation, Sunday school and Sunday sermons. Formal training is of
great benefit. But like these computers, it is a tool. What we do
with that tool is the important factor. Also, there is the fact that
when you attend places of formal biblical training, you will for the
most part be rubbing elbows with men who have dedicated their lives to
knowing more of Him. This is the greatest education of all.

It's a pity that you seem to wish only to disagree. I think I really
COULD actually learn something from you if you would condescend to
communicate instead of condemn.

Where did I say that was the case? I simply referred to the verse he
was quoting.
