Well, look at what a disaster was elected President once they got the vote, and
you can see why Belloc might have believed such a thing.

Besides: if you are going to discredit Belloc's wit on one topic, because of the
embarassing thing he said on another, then you should certainly not take
Luther's word for anything, since Luther's words about the Jews were far, far
more egregious than anything Belloc said about women.

Which is a repetition of the initial assertion.
