Luke 1:6 says that Elizabeth and Zachariah were righteous and blameless
according to the Law. To keep the Law perfectly and to not sin are not
the same thing. Under the Law, if you sinned, you were required to
give a sacrifice and by doing that, you became as Elizabeth and
Zachariah were: blameless and righteous.
But they were not sinless. They had sinned. They were sinners. Z&E
were forgiven sinners. But they still did not meet the requirement to
return to Paradise. They were not as Adam before the Fall. There
is/was only and ever one way to return to Paradise and eat from the
tree of everlasting life, John 3:16. The people that lived prior to
Yeshua's coming to earth had to believe that God would keep His promise
to send the Seed. After Yeshua came, belief in the actual, revealed
Seed, Yeshua haMaschiach, was the Way.
By the way, YHVH never promised everlasting life by keeping the Law.
He said they would live long, safe, healthy, happy, prosperous, lives
here on earth. The Law is a guide for how to live here.
Many of the Laws provide blessings as natural consequences for obeying
them. For example, don't eat roadkill. Don't marry close relatives.
Honor your father and mother. Rest your land every 7 years. YHVH's
Law is very good. Try it.

And we are brought up in a sinful society. Even our parents are
sinners. Like Eve saying to Adam, here try some it's good, society is
a strong force.
