Prayer for life

Teens

Are you going to heaven? Thinking about this and after talking with some
people. I find people that think most are basically good. I also find those
that say they try to follow the 10 commandments, so they will go to heaven.
After all they haven't hurt anyone. hmm Well this always blows my mind. So,
okay lets think about when our life's record started. The logical answer
will be when we were born. Now I know that my teenage years were not angel
like. Yet, I knew right from wrong. I lied, cheated, stolen. Oh and yes the
girl thing, ahh the male hormones huh. (Ladies you're included in this also)
Hmm See any commandments broken here yet? I do. Yet, most may have said I
was a good person. Well some maybe. Okay one or two, but still. The truth of
the matter is that I was heading for hell. By my own admission, I am a
lying, cheating, thief that committed adultery. Yet the standard is
"perfection". A standard that I cannot nor would ever be able to live up
too. I have not seen anyone been able to do this yet. Jesus is the only one
that has. He alone did it for you and me. So we through him could go to
heaven with him.

If you died today, would you go to heaven? Remember there is no promise of
tomorrow, only of the here and now. If you are not sure, use the prayer
below and ask the Lord to come into your life.

Heavenly Father, I come to you in Jesus' name. I know that I am a sinner and
need your forgiveness. I believe that You died on the cross for my sins and
rose from the grave to give me life. I know You are the only way to God, so
now, I want to quit disobeying You and start living for You. Please forgive
me, change my life and show me how to know You. In Jesus' name. Amen.
