then why does 1 Tim 3:16 say he was "taken up?"

16Beyond all question, the mystery of godliness is great: He appeared
in a body,
was vindicated by the Spirit, was seen by angels,
was preached among the nations, was believed on in the world,
was taken up in glory.

Excellent research concerning John 3:13. Thus that whole argument of
the difference between "ascending" under one's own power rather than
being "taken" like Enoch is invalid. It has always been my
understanding that Jesus' words that "no man has ascended into heaven"
means that NOBODY had gone to the spiritual Heaven prior to him and
this includes Enoch.

>> Are you aware that there are absolutely none, nada, not a single,
>> manuscript
>> of the NT which has the Tetragrammatonin in them?
>
>I was told that, too, but I have found that to be a falsehood.

No, it is what you 'found' that is a falsehood. There really are none.

>There are Hebrew NT manuscripts that do indeed contain the Tetragrammaton.

But that is irrelevant, since the only such manuscripts are very late, and
translations, directly or indirectly, from the Greek.

>And the oldest Greek manuscripts contain an abbreviation
> where YHWH had appeared.

What _are_ you talking about? Care to name any such manuscript? And what
'abbreviation' are you talking about, anyway? Are you talking about the "nomina
sacra"?

I have studied more Greek manuscripts (old and not so old) than you have even
heard of, Sarah. And the only manuscripts that even come _close_ to your
description are those that use the "nomina sacra". Sure, the "nomina sacra"
include an abbreviation for KYRIOS, but NOT for YHWH. So Gary's point still
remains true: there is not ONE that has the Divine Name in the Tetragrammaton,
YHWH.

Besides: the use of nomina sacra itself disproves your theology! For the nomina
sacra, abbreviations in _imitation_ of the Tetragrammaton, imply that the name
abbreviated is _divine_: hence the name nomina SACRA.

And this list of abbreviations includes JESUS, CHRIST, SPIRIT, proving that
Jesus CHrist is DIVINE and proviing that the Holy Spirit is DIVINE.

>> The JW, NWT, puts "Jehovah" in the NT many places. This is plainly
>> a corruption of the text.

>We have the "OT" quotes as a basis for restoring what was in those quotes.

No, you do not. For the OT quotes use 'KYRIOS' (LORD), NOT 'YHW
