What "believing in Christ" means is explained quite clearly in:

John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God,
and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked
of him, and he would have given thee living water.

> And hear His commandments and do them. (John 14:21-26)

All His commandments to just anyone?
Have you:

Luke 18:22 Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest
thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and
thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.

AND:

Luke 14:26 If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and
wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also,
he cannot be my disciple.

Please tell me if you have obeyed these commands.

The Holy Spirit inspired the writers of the Scriptures so that we
can be assured that they correctly wrote what He said.
