is a Calvinist. However his definitions of each doctrine of TULIP are
modified from those that are commonly held by most Calvinists.
In the post I made you neglect to comment on the FACT that Chafer
deliberately positions himself in the same position with regard to the
order of regeneration and faith as Geisler and I do.
If you read Geisler and his definitions of TULIP, I agree with him on
them. So, if you like, you could call me a "moderate Calvinist" as does
Geisler call himself. But I don't particularly like this name.
I prefer the simple title of Christian or if necessary a "biblicist."
The differentiation between accepting and rejecting salvation is most
important. Man on his own can reject salvation, for he can reject the
learning necessary to come to faith.
On the other hand, man cannot of his own will believe. God must be
proactive in the man for him to some to faith. BUT he comes to faith
BEFORE God regenerates him.
Hope this helps you understand my position.
If you still don't understand it, Geisler amplified it for hundreds of
pages in his book Chosen But Free.
In Christ, Gary

I would just like to point out to all you evangelicals out there that
you have not seen anything of the after-life and I have.
I can tell you this. Hanging on to a bible and going to church don't
mean a thing as far as getting into Heaven. I know this for a fact.
In fact, Heaven isn't even a place you go to. It does exist, but in a
peculiar way that is hard to put into words, which is really how it's
meant to be.
Please just treat each other well and with understanding. Try to be
good people and stop thinking that the prayer and other things will get
you into Heaven. That's not what it's about. Trust me. I've been there.

There is no secret to the holy grail, it is love. It is found within.
